Bachmann in Fantasyland: The GOP is extremely pro-woman

Despite Republicans hosting an all male panel this week in a House hearing on the White House contraception decision, Rep. Michele Bachmann felt Sunday morning her party was unquestionably in support of women’s rights.

Bachmann appeared on CNN’s State of the Union and was asked by host Candy Crowley if she was concerned about Democrats painting Republicans as being anti-women in this year’s elections.

“Look, there is no anti-women move whatsoever,” she said. “The Republican Party is extremely pro-woman. What we saw was President Obama’s signature piece of legislation, which is Obamacare demonstrated in 3D.”

Either she was off her meds when she said this, or she took too strong a dose...either way, her brain wasn't functioning properly.

Then again, has her brain EVER functioned properly?

How "Obamacare" could be even marginally responsible for the GOP convening a womens' health panel discussion without ONE SINGLE SOLITARY WOMAN on that panel is a contortion worthy of the greatest yoga master of all time.

WTF?

Of course the GOP supports women. Women have right to be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. And the GOP will outlaw abortion and any contraceptive that will undermine the GOP's ability to keep women in there rightful place.

ROFLMAO!

Of COURSE the GOP is pro woman.

Pro woman in the kitchens

Pro woman barefoot and pregnant (b/c of course contraception is SUCH a horrid sin) /s/

Pro woman deferring to males in all things, (especially in the bedroom since only guys are supposed to get any pleasure out of the deal.)

Pro woman circa 1880!!

Someone decided to give her another interview........ why exactly??

Her delusion is amazing some days.

We were really tired of this woman yapping about the "Obamacare" since day # 1. Is anybody listening to her, when she only has air in her head? What a pair! Sarah Palin and Bauchman are the laughing stock of the GOP. Not even the Republicans take them serious. When are they going to have someone like Hillary Clinton, that actually THINKS?

Only time will make them shut up. Let's see who listen to Sarah Palin and this bimbo when they get to be 70.

You live in Minnesota? I lived there for many years. I feel sorry for Minnesotans that probably have to listen to her talking on a regular basis on the news, I now live in an equally messed up state, Arizona, with the airhead, Gov. Jan Brewer and the infamous, Sheriff Joe Arpio. Even my very Republican parents thought that it was terrible that Brewer stuck her finger in the president's his face when he visited Arizona. So disrespectful. Well, I hope that the people of Minnesota kick Bachmann to the curb!

I know this might tick a few people off, but I can not help but feel that women who support the current GOP/TP are anything but "Uncle Toms". You are more than entitled to be fiscally conservative, or even socially conservative, but when you actively support a group that attempts to take the PERSONAL beliefs of social conservatism, and force them on citizen's with out any legal right to do so, you are selling out those whose support you most need.

You are actively working to set back, not just the unknown female citizen's, but yourself, as well. If they take away our right to choose what to do with our bodies and health, it won't be long until they attempt to take away our choices in other areas. Area's in which, YOU might not agree. What will you do then???

Well, apparently, the sky is green, grass red, up is down, and forward is obviously reverse in GOP/tea dystopianworld.

With the Santorum "I can't say anything stupid enough" campaign, the Gingrich "I can't flaggelate enough" flop, and the Romney "I don't know WHAT I'm saying" plunge, what else is there to know?

One can only view what's going on with this GOP primary as an extension of the current GOP congress. They're flinging stuff around, and waiting to see what sticks.

Unfortunately, nothing is, which is why they can't seem to find their bearing. The country has moved past them, they're just too stupid and intransigent to see that.

For some reason, this nonsense makes me think back to someone I put on ignore here on NV because of his "pro-women" views and his views on "helping" women. Those views were to disallow women control over their own reproductive functions, but he was willing "help them" by assisting them in recognizing how wonderful having children is and that's the reason women are put on the Earth, and making sure there are places pregnant women can go to where they will receive help with their pregnancies and their children.

So, perhaps the Republican idea of being "pro-woman" is similar: deny women their human rights, but treat them "properly" when they are performing their function as brood mares?

    Ugh.
